NORTHERN WINS WITH A HOME TOWN TWIST, 9-6!
Kenny Perez delivers the game-winner in the eighth inning
Sea Dogs infielder Kenny Perez snapped a 6-6 tie with a two out, two-run double in the eighth inning, lifting the Northern Division All-Stars to a 9-6 victory against the Southern Division All-Stars on Wednesday night at a sold out Hadlock Field.

Perez finished the night 1-for-2 as he replaced teammate Hanley Ramirez in the sixth inning, who was 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and a run scored. Brandon Moss gave the North a 4-3 advantage with a single in the third. Jared Sandberg and Chris Durbin were 0-for-2. Jon Lester was in uniform but did not pitch.

2005 HANNAFORD EASTERN LEAGUE ALL-STAR TEAMS ANNOUNCEDThe Portland Sea Dogs in conjunction with the Eastern League have announced the rosters for the 2005 Hannaford Eastern League All-Star Game to played at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine on Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 PM.

The 2005 Hannaford Eastern League All-Star Game will feature the stars of the Northern Division taking on the Southern Division All-Stars. Each roster consists of 24 players. Every Eastern League team is represented by at least three players including at least one position player and one pitcher. Fans at each of the 12 Eastern League ballparks were allowed to vote for one position player and one pitcher to represent their team through Rite Aid Fan Balloting. The remainder of the team was selected through voting by media representatives, field managers, and league officials.

EASTERN LEAGUE ANNOUNCES SIX ADDITIONS TO ALL-STAR GAME ROSTERSThe Eastern League in conjunction with the Portland Sea Dogs has announced six additions to the 2005 Hannaford Eastern League All-Star Game rosters. Pitchers Brian Burres (Norwich) and Justin Pope (Trenton) were added to the Northern Division squad along with David Bacani (Binghamton) Chris Durbin (Portland). Added to the Southern Division squad are pitcher Chris Cooper (Akron) and Melvin Dorta (Harrisburg). The additions are the result of promotions and injuries. The Sea Dogs will host the game at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine on Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 PM.

SEA DOGS AND MCCP TEAM UP FOR FAMILY EVENTThe Portland Sea Dogs will team up with the Maine Children’s Cancer Program to host a family event night at Hadlock Field on Tuesday, July 12th. At 7:00 PM the Maine Children’s Cancer Program will host a “Celebrity Softball Game” at Hadlock Field. Gates will open at 6:00 PM. There will be a special raffle that evening for fans with several items including Red Sox tickets and four fans will win a chance to play in the softball game with their favorite local celebrities. Following the softball game fans are invited to stay at the ballpark to watch the Major League Baseball All-Star Game on the Ford Board at Hadlock Field.

2005 HANNAFORD EASTERN LEAGUE ALL-STAR GAME SOLD OUTThe Portland Sea Dogs have announced that tickets for the 2005 Hannaford Eastern League All-Star Game are sold out. The last remaining tickets were sold late Thursday afternoon. Hadlock Field has a seating capacity of 6,975.

The 2005 Hannaford Eastern League All-Star Game will take place on Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 PM. The game will feature the Northern Division All-Stars against the Southern Division All-Stars.
