1. When do the gates open prior to the game?

Gates open one and one-half hours prior to all games (except for Opening Day, gates open two hours prior to the start of the game.

2. What do I do when a game rains out?

Listen to our flagship station WBAE1490 or check our website for an update on the status of all games. If an official game is not played (at least 4 ½ innings), your game ticket (or ticket stub) can be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value for any remaining regular season 2005 home game (subject to availability). Your rain check must be redeemed at the Sea Dogs ticket office for the game of your choice. Early redemption is highly recommended. Individual game tickets can be exchanged for tickets of equal or lesser value subject to availability. Season Tickets can be exchanged for the best available ticket.

3. When is the Souvenir Shoppe open?

The Sea Dogs Souvenir Shoppe is open year round. Call 1-800-936-DOGS for hours.

4. When is the Ticket Office open?

The Sea Dogs Ticket Office is open year round, Monday through Friday 9-5 (year round) and Saturdays 10-3 (March through August and December only). On game days the ticket office is open from 9am until end of the game. Call 207-879-9500 to verify hours.

5. Can I tryout for the Sea Dogs?

All Portland Sea Dogs tryouts are handled through the Boston Red Sox.

6. What employment opportunities are available?

The Sea Dogs hire seasonal employees (concessions, food service, ticket sellers, etc.) for each upcoming season every February / March. To apply for a position, please stop by the Sea Dogs main office to pick up an application.

7. Are there internship opportunities available?

The Sea Dogs offer internships in the areas of ticketing, marketing/community relations, merchandising, stadium operations and food service. Please contact the Sea Dogs main office at 207-874-9300 to schedule an interview or for further information.

8. How can I get a donation for my non-profit organization?

We gladly fill as many donation requests as we can. We ask that requests be sent hard copy, on company/business letterhead to the following address:

9. How can I sing the National Anthem before a game?

To be considered for the anthem before a game, you must send an audition tape of yourself singing the anthem to:

10. Can I have a message put on the scoreboard?

If you would like to have a message put on the scoreboard (i.e.: birthday or welcome message) please stop by the Sea Dogs Information Table or Ticket Office prior to the start of the game and give them your message (there will be a fee of $15 for each message), or call the Ticket Office prior to the game at 207-879-9500 and arrange it over the phone. These messages will be run during the fifth inning.

11. Can I bring food or beverages into the ballpark?

Eastern League Rule Article XX Section 19 states: "In the interest of public safety, no cans, bottles, food or containers may be brought into Eastern League ballparks." Sea Dogs ushers and security personnel are instructed to NOT allow food and drink into Hadlock Field.

12. How do I get to Hadlock Field?

From the South: From Interstate 295 - take exit 5 (Congress Street), merge onto Congress Street and stay left. Make a left at the first set of lights (St. John Street), stay right and merge onto Park Avenue. Hadlock Field will be directly in front of you.
From the North: From Interstate 295 - take exit 6A (Forest Ave. South), turn right at the first set of lights (go through Deering Park) and take a right onto Park Avenue. Go approximately ½ mile. Hadlock Field is just past the EXPO building on your right.

13. Where can I park?

Fans can either park at the Maine Medical Center Parking Garage located at 887 Congress Street or at various temporary lots set up by area businesses located around Hadlock Field. Please be sure to park in a designated legal parking spot. The parking lot next to the Hadlock Field is for handicapped parking only prior to and during the game.

14. Where is the Will-Call Window?

The Maine Bank and Trust Will-Call Window is located at the main ticket office windows at Hadlock Field. The window opens 1 ½ hours prior to the start of the game and a picture ID is required to pick up all tickets.

15. Do you have a Lost and Found?

The Sea Dogs Lost and Found is located at the Ticket Office.

16. Can I smoke inside the ballpark?

Hadlock Field is a NON-SMOKING public facility. However, a designated smoking area is located behind the left-field stands.

17. Do you have an ATM machine located in the ballpark?

Yes, the Portland Sea Dogs have an ATM located near the back ticket office windows in the concourse. The Sea Dogs also offer "Slugger Chips" as an alternative. These can be purchased with a credit card at the Ticket Window or Souvenir Shoppe and can be used to purchase tickets, food, or souvenirs. They come in $2, $5, and $10 denominations. The next best thing to a ATM machine, and NO extra charges!

18. Can I exit the park and re-enter?

Once you have left the ballpark, you may not return under any circumstance unless you purchase a new ticket. In case of emergency, please go to the Information Table located in the concourse.

19. Are there refunds or exchanges on my tickets?

Sorry, but once a ticket is purchased, it is non-refundable and there are no exchanges unless a game does not become official (e.g. rainout, see the Sea Dogs rainout policy for more details on the rainout procedure).

20. How can I get my favorite Sea Dogs player autographs?

Prior to game time, fans have the opportunity to get player autographs. Fans will be asked to return to their seats 20 minutes prior to the start of the game for the enjoyment of fans located in seats nearby. Also, prior to the game, the Sea Dogs will have a player available in the concourse for approximately 20-30 minutes to sign autographs. Players will also sign autographs after the game behind the first base stands. Please do not go onto the field or on the players' dugout for any reason. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sea Dogs premium giveaways are limited to the number promoted. Due to unforeseen circumstances, all Sea Dogs premium giveaways and special attractions are subject to change without notice. The Sea Dogs strongly recommend arriving early to the park and apologize to those who do not receive premium giveaways.
